1. Exporting Assistance Program
SEDC’s program is designed to aid exporters in order to establish a presence in foreign markets, enabling them to increase the promotion of their products by capitalizing on the data and information provided. Utilizing the partnerships and international relationships of SEDC, tips and assistance on the ideal method to enter foreign markets backed by statistical information and data gathered and provided in the export map.
2. Exporters Training
SEDC, Sharjah Training and Development Center, in addition to local and international export strategists and professionals cooperate in synergy to launch and provide specialized programs aimed at developing the abilities of local exporters to target new markets for their products. SEDC will also facilitate employee participation in order to improve their skills, to enhance their performance, and to develop their exporting knowledge.
Passport 2 Export
This program is deemed as one of the most important training programs provided by SEDC, which aims at qualifying and developing the insights and skills of the employees of the firm in the exporting sector depending on their specializations through the following:
* Training on processes connected to exporting transactions with banks, customs, ports and other bodies.
* The ability to conduct high level marketing research and to measure and analyze statistical indexes within the exporting field.
* To provide assistance to prepare strategies and plans for exporting to foreign markets.
Participants in our training programs shall be awarded certificates approved within the relevant specializations.
Specialized Courses and Workshops
SEDC prepares and conducts courses and workshops specialized in the spheres of exporting, related industries, and the demonstration of successful exporting practices for exporters seeking to capitalize on such experience for developing their own exports.
Such programs also include organizing lectures and holding seminars hosted by exporting experts and professionals in order to provide consultations related to such a vital sector.
Promoting Exports1. Establishing Commercial Relations
SEDC offers various activities enabling exporters to meet potential buyers and suppliers, gather information about their needs and to establish and develop sustainable commercial relations with them, through organizing meetings with local and foreign commercial counterparts and commercial delegates and missions visiting the country.
SEDC also facilitates communicating with members of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, commercial attaches of UAE embassies abroad, and those affiliated with foreign embassies to the UAE.
2. Participation in International Events
SEDC holds and participates in numerous international events and activities providing its member exporters with an added value, enabling them to promote their exportable products through a number of outlets, to conform to their requirements and based on the Sharjah export map.
SEDC organizes and participates in international exhibitions, which act as a platform for exporters seeking to promote their products and services for potential buyers and suppliers. SEDC also provides assistance and facilities for space reservations, stand design and building, and organizing meetings with buyers at such exhibitions.

* Commercial Missions
SEDC organizes specialized commercial delegations to foreign markets, to explore and determine marketing opportunities for exportable products. Such expeditions provide an opportunity for discussions, such as establishing commercial partnerships by holding direct meetings with business sector representatives at such markets.

3. Digital and e-Marketing
SEDC strives to diversify the channels and means of market access by its exporters to gain access to the largest possible segment of buyers. In response, SEDC constantly develops and introduces creative and innovation digital and e-marketing activities and solutions for its exporters to ensure direct communication and access to online international markets.
* SEDC Exporter Portal & Website
The SEDC portal and website was launched to market and promote Sharjah exporters and their products. The portal includes images and product information and a real time searchable database of their contact information.
4. The Permanent Exhibition
The permanent exhibition of local manufactured products provides visitors from different countries with an opportunity to explore and discover a wide range of products, manufactured locally by more than 180 firms exhibited thought 191 stands covering 30 manufacturing sectors, such as food & beverage, electronics, chemicals, construction materials, plumber materials, plastics, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas equipment, etc.
The Permanent Exhibition is a result of the cooperation of Sharjah factories, which strives to bolster commercial exchange between the Emirate of Sharjah and countries all over the world.

Information about export Markets1. Export Information Service
SEDC offers exporting information services, through providing foreign trade statistics and their sources, destinations and categories according to HS code classification of the goods, as well as introducing custom transactions and lists of tariffs. SEDC also provides information on facilities, exemptions and guarantees available for exporters by relevant entities and organizations.

SEDC continuously provides up to date publications and information to help develop the exporting knowledge of its members and partners to benefit and educate firms that deal with Sharjah markets and want to purchase exportable goods. SEDC provides information about all the relevant procedures, laws, regulations, systems, data and statistics with which sellers and buyers are concerned.

3. International Bids & Tenders
SEDC, through its large network of partners of international trade organizations, provides information and data on the opportunities of international tenders and bids for various types of projects. SEDC provides the exportable products needed to meet the requirements of such tenders and bids, so that its members can take advantage of such opportunities in order to widen their exporting activities.
4. Standards Map
SEDC offers a special service that reinforces the streamlining of export movement, through an instrument relevant to international markets, which is the Standards Map. The Standards Map set by international trade centers include standards of specifications for products, goods and items, incorporated within the world trade environment which is helpful for producers, exporters and buyers in terms of commercial transactions and investment relations within global markets.

Technical Support and Consultation1. Export Credit and Security
In cooperation with companies specialized in export insurance and security, SEDC provides protection for exporters against potential losses and problems occurring during executing contracts or resulting from emergencies affecting trade agreements as well as the implementation of related obligations.
2. Export Consultation
SEDC provides export consultancy services such as:
- technical consultations
- feasibility studies
- legal and marketing consultation
- assistance in obtaining reports and research that help in the exporting process
